For those of you with 440's and a Dual Quad Carb setup....do you utilize the vacuum advance? I recently bought a 70 Cuda which the previous owner did not have the vacuum advance hooked up and said that with the 440 Dual Quad setup you shouldnt use the vacuum advance.

If the initial timing is bumped up a bit, you don't need to have the vacuum advance. I wouldn't worry about it.

it really has nothing to do with dual carbs ,with better cams you need more initial advance so generally I leave the vacuum disconnected

Vacuum advance helps on every application except a drag racing car. Otherwise, unless there ius a reason you cannot wet it, it will not hurt anything, and will give you more power at part throttle and cruise and much bettter milage.
