Heater cable attachment
« on: February 21, 2009 - 07:31:52 PM »
How does the heater temp cable attach to the hot water valve under the hood? The loop in the cable is a little small just to slip over the post, so I am wondering is there is a clip or something I am missing.

73 Challenger, 340.

Thanks;

Here's a pic on how it goes on. The clip that secures the heater cable to the heater top is a hard one to find.

There's 2 required. 1 for mounting the cable and the other to secure onto the lever.

Hi Topcat, can you post that pic again?  It is no longer available on the site but I have the same issue of trying to attach the loop to the valve post.  Thanks much!

There's 2 types. One holds the cable secure and one for the wire part of the cable.
