I am looking to replace my gauges in my non rally dash. Do they make analog or digital gauges that fit in the original spots in the dash. Maybe even in white face with a choice of color lites. Also my dash doesnt have a Tach and I was wondering if I can replace my speedo with a tach in its place.
Yall mopar masters please help.
The standard dash is a piece of cake to modify with aftermarket gauges. The holes are all standard sizes. Just unbolt your dash panel (the area where the gauges are, not the whole dash pad), separate the stock gauge cluster from the face plate, remove the stock gauge cluster from the car, mount new gauges in the face plate holes, wire it up, and remount the face plate to the dash. You will need to do some wiring work, but it's not too bad if you have any previous wiring experience.
The gauge holes fit 2 5/8" small gauges and one 5" large gauge. Autometer sells lots of gauges in these sizes. I am using (from left to right on the dash) Autometer tach, oil pressure, water temp, voltage, and gas level. I use to have a picture of it on this board, but it must have gotten deleted during the forum software change.
I did this mod about 14 years ago or so, I still love it, and I still get compliments for it.
