Mardi Gras
« on: February 24, 2009 - 04:04:13 PM »
We just had our local Mardi Gras parade. It came right in front of the house. It was a nice family type parade. Not the kind on Bourban Street.

Man I miss the 3 years I lived in New Orleans.  We lived on the West Bank and had 3 parades on the first weekend go right past our house, then downtown for Zulu, Bacchus, Endimian, and several other great ones.  Talk about a non-stop party.

Wow, that sucks.  That's pretty close to one of the spots we used to go to.

I've got a friend that was down there, I need to call her. Don't worry, she's too short to get hit by any bullets.

Just wish it would have been Mardi Gras when I went down there.  I did get to see some of the sites though and it was pretty cool then also.  I had to get my passport down there before I left to come over here.  Looks like the little girl was pleased as punch with what she got and had a lot of fun to go with it.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development
