that is bad , I had heard they were in trouble , should have ordered a few sets of the ductile iron rockers before they closed  :banghead:

Summit doesn't, its showing a ship date of 4/16 for the 1.5 ratio and 4/18 for the 1.6's. I'm thinking they won't be getting that shipment...

Definitely sad news.  :crying:

Another thing that sucks is that they also provided cam blanks to other companies, so there may be some trickle down from this...

ugh this isn't good.

When I heard about this, I ordered my cam from Bulet cams right away.
I don't know if they were getting the blanks from them. But I didn't want to find out later on they did

Definitely sad news indeed. Another sign of the times. What's odd is I just talked to Kurt at Magnum Machine which is a local machine shop/speed shop in Chesapeake VA and he is swamped with work and hasn't even started on my motor build other than doing the port job on my heads. I think more people are keeping what they have, so more work for local machine shops/car repair shops. I guess some folks will prosper from this economy situation and I am glad for those folks. I hope & pray the folks out of work will soon find other employment!! :2thumbs:

:canada: and also north of the border. Things are slowing down here faster than the US has. Mind you our demand on places like Holley, Edelbrock and Crane are nothing compared with the US. Definitely not the end of things as hobbies are the first thing people drop in hard times. Family health, home, food, job, basic transportation is something of the order of priorities.

Sad News for sure.  I bet almost everyone here can tell a storya bout installing aCran Cam in one of their cars especially if the grew up in the 70's & 80's when Crane was THE brand name in cams.
