1st off,  I am not going to hurry about anything I am still getting parts for my car as I go like everyone else has to do and the one thing that holds me up is that I have no garage to put my car in so I can work on it!  I have thought about doing something like that then again I ordered my scoops the way I want them others may want them of another material and they can order what they want if they want them.  I can only do what I can afford to do when I do it.  No one is going to push me into anything I dont want and I am not going to do a stop gap thing just to please someone else.

:roflsmiley:   Wasnt asking you to rebuild yer car gordon, just take camera in hand down to your car with the scoop and show how the out the box would match up was all.  You had said you would put up some posts, but yer right, you didnt say what decade you would do it.

So maybe someone else can purchase a pair from Scott and try them on.  How bout you Kenny? CudaHunter? Gordon is tied up a while , so it seems.   And this post is gonna get old. But from his pictures, there doesnt look like too much work involved

Thanks anyways Gordon.   Hey, I got your Business cards over here to if you wanna get them. I leave out tomorrow around 8 am and would like you to have them. If I miss you, Peggy knows where I put them for you :2thumbs:

My car still has both scoops on it anyways so it would not be that easy to do would be just like doing it to your car.  If I am going to start on my car like that I am going to be pulling panels not just making it where I can take a pic for someone else.  I do not think there is a lot of work to get them to fit right and with the materials I got for mine I can do a lot with them to make them look real good.  I do not see any problems getting them to fit and look good a heat gun and something to fasten them is all you need to do.  There are a lot of ways to fasten them and it woud be up to that person on how they did that.  I have discussed this with Scott and he agrees.

Gordon, I was just going by your very first 2 posts on the first page.  You had made the offer is all.  I didnt know your car still has the original scoops on it?   Are they aluminum or tin?  Are they busted up so bad they cant be used?  How were those mounted on? both screws and studs? Got any pictures? I think old pics dont work here anymore since the crash.  Im curious if yours could be fixed, the ones thats on your car. They bend really easy to form.  Wanna sell them?  What's wrong with them?  You got me interested now :2thumbs:

Lets see them OK?

Here are the pics I showed you of my car.  the only way I could get them to load is to use photobucket.  If you want to see them in person come on down.  http://s687.photobucket.com/albums/vv231/426HEMI_photos/

They are fixable I think.  I have not taken them off or loosened them up to see how they are attached.

Buddy, Are you crazy?  I would make those work rather than repops.  They dont look bad. I am betting you could get over a grand for those if you sold them, but DONT SELL THEM.   Just be cautious of removing them on your restoration. Those studs can be murder.

The scoopes and other things might have to go to the highest bidder so I can get my garage built.  Getting the plans together to get it done now.

I would like to get a set.  Currently a little strapped.
Will have to save some cash just for that.
I have a 71 that is just waiting for a set of scoops!

Thanks for the pics of the scoops though Gordon.
Wish I could just drive over and check out the car and your scoops.
I'm curious how they mount up.
If you get a chance, just remove the rear panel and look in the hole with a flash light to see if they are studs.
If they are screws you should be able to see the screw heads on the exterior.

Hey Josh,

Your welcome! Not sure when I can look at how they are attached.  The car is still in Birmingham and I am in cullman most of the time on the weekends.  Trying to figure out how to get a cheap garage built.  Any Ideas on that one?  Send me an e-mail at ngclay@iwon.com if you have any ideas.  Gordon
