BB 727 Rebuild Kit?
« on: February 28, 2009 - 11:28:04 AM »
Hey guys just wanted to check to see what it would cost to rebuild a BB 727 trans?

The first info I need is a good durable Street/Strip rebuild kit for a cruiser that would see the strip on some weekends of the summer but also drive long distances in one shot up to 6-700 miles ect.  A good link to recommended kits would be a huge help.

Also a good torque converter to go with it, I know it will need a stall of 2500-3000 due to engine build.

I really need links on the parts you guys recommend so I can copare the parts cost ect. as I will be on a budget.  Thanks.

These parts i would use for bb 727 rebuild.

Alto master kit
Borgwarner/Raybestos intermediate band
Good quality rear band if needed to replace
3.8-4.2 lever
Transgo shift kit
Deep pan
Big cooler

Washers and bushings, sometimes only converter bushing and tail bushing are needed. Others could be fine.

Throw a billet rear servo piston and a HD int. band strut in there too and you should be good to go.
