'73 Duster daily driver (UPDATE: VIDEOS: 6/11/09)
« on: March 01, 2009 - 12:39:19 AM »
Here's my 1973 Duster. It has a 318 auto. My dad bought it for me for my 16th birthday. It's gonna be my daily driver for school, work and everything else. We got it for $650. We had it towed to my grandparent's house until Spring Break when I can take it home. It runs and it sounds damn good too!

Floor pans. They are pretty good. The trunk is perfect, the rear pans are perfect too. There's just some holes in the front which are a pretty easy fix.

Fairly new exhaust. The frame is perfect.

Looks like you have your work cut out for you.
Nice that you'll have a V8 for your 1st car.  My 1st car only had a 6 cyl.
Get'er done!

Man that is a nice buy. I have been looking to dump my '85 Chevette for any running 2 door pre 75 MOPAR that I can find. But around here everyone wants an arm and a leg for a rotted out piece of junk. Seems like everyone but me has found a 2dr dart or duster for absolutely nothing. :banghead: I guess I'll just have to keep my soon to be 383 '71 Challenger, '85 Chevette, and daily driver '95 BMW 325i conv to keep me happy. :bigshades:

That's a very nice car for a DD - good score!  :2thumbs:

Long-term, it would be fantastic to see it back in the original color.

That's a great score!! Congrats!! Can't beat a running car for that price. Looks like it's in pretty fair shape. Looks like it was originally gold. They made a "Gold Duster" which was a pretty neat car. Got any info on it's origin?? Keep us posted on the project!! By the way, how's the modeling project going?? :dunno:                                                   Matt B.

It was sold new at Johnson Motors in Vancouver BC. The guy kept it for years and then gave it to his grandson. His grandson drove it until 2005 then parked it in his driveway. That's when we bought it. The modeling is going good....I'm doing 4 projects for different people right now. I haven't really gotten any new "customers" yet. :clueless:
