Can i offer a suggestion, if you haven't already purchased your rear quarter skins, i would suggest going with complete quarters. With as much welding and finish work you have to do, it would be a lot simpler with full quarters. I had similar issues with mine. I replaced one side complete quarter and the other side i had to do both lower front and rear patch panels and a patch up at the top joining the new roof i put on. I am still crying about all the work i put into that side, wishing i had just went with a new quarter. :2cents: good luck with whichever direction you go. You obviously know what you are doing. :2thumbs:

I had thought about full quarters, but the money just was'nt there. So I bought the skins, I pretty much knew what it would take to put them in; so I am not to worried about it. I do agree though, full quarters would have been much easier.

I can not believe the way you guys do body work.................I thought it was a big deal when I had my buddy help me pull the engine and transmission. That's NOTHING compared to chopping out fenders!!!!
I am VERY impressed! ! ! ! !

Really when you get into it, the work really isn't that bad. I love body work, I would much rather do body work than mechanics. I took mechanics in school, and I knew I wanted nothing to do with the field after that. I don't mind working on the older stuff, but this newer stuff  :eek4: I am pretty novice at body work, but I do have a lot of people I can have help if i run into trouble.

Made the extension piece to the rocker. Runs under the quarter window area. Put the skin up to it, just to make sure everything fit up.

Cut out the front area behind the door. Cleaned it all up, and used some weld through primer. I will make the pieces for it tommorrow.
