Well seriously it takes 1 hour to drop the K , I did it two weekends ago in 1 hour 5 minutes,
then get some snowmobile storage pads , set the K frame with most of the suspension on th epads , load the engine onto the K frame & completely assemble the engine ,starter ,headers ,water pump with pullys & belts , fan ,carb , tranny , dist ...everything . then put 2- 6 ton stands under the front leaf spring hanger & lift the front of the car by hand ....seriously .... have a friend ratchet a stand up to hold the nose of the car up & roll the whole assy under the car & set the nose of the car down , lower the rear as well to keep the car somewhat level , lower the nose down to the K frame , install the 4 K frame bolts , jack the rear of the tranny up & slide in at least 2 of the crossmember bolt & jack up the nose of the car . Once you have done it this way you will never try to install an engine from the top again , this even works with the Hemi
