If you're interested, I can get better details & prices. This guy isn't a "not for sale" type of person. If he can make a couple bucks, he'll sell whatever he's got and move on to the next one.

The 68 has a "built" 318 going into it. Should be running soon, I think. The worst part of the body is the pass. door or so he says.

The 69 is Gold w/ green lowback bucket interior. Another 318 car, but with A/C & tinted windows. It runs & lot drives, all the A/C stuff is still intact! Has rear panel, quarter rust and rust around the rear window. (Don't they all?) Came from toward the coast of NC.

There's another 69, but I think it belongs to someone else.

I'm not a 2nd gen Charger guy, so I'm not sure of all the little things to look for like on the E-bodies.

I've got a house that I'm still sitting on. If I can get a contract on it I might be interested. I'll let you know.
Thanks Steve.

I'm going to say "no" at this point because they are not my cars. I do not want the owner to be p.o.'ed at me if he sees his cars out there on the interweb. Sorry.

...so I go down there to buy the blue 72. I had previously asked if he could check on getting me a title for it. He says on the phone before I go "no luck on a title". I figure no problem, I can get a title. I take a few new pics including the hump and pedals that are still in the car. I'm about to hand over the cash when I take another look at the VIN and IT's GONE. Fender tag GONE too. Apparently, the guy that my guy got the cars from got a bug up his a$$ about my guy reselling or something and came back with a screwdriver and an attitude.  :bricks1:

Probably NOT going to buy the car now.  :hyper:

Note to self: Don't ask potential car sellers to get me a title!  :walkaway:

Something seems pretty messed up when someone just takes the tags off like that. Sounds like the seller was content to let you pay for them without the tags or did he not know they were missing? You might be better off not messing with those cars seems like.

He seemed genuinely surprised that they were recently missing. Could just be a good actor, who knows? Claimed the previous owner was from near Fayetteville, which is about 70 miles away. I heard from a friend yesterday that the cars came from just a couple miles from my guy's place.

Fish Fry's are popular on Fridays, so maybe that's what the fishy smell was all about.  :clueless:

If there were enough usable parts there, I'd still consider it, but.........

How about a quick What's It Worth?

Pair of bumpers w/ brackets...70-72 style
Tinted quarter and rear glass, right door glass
Std. dash with frame & crusty pad
4-speed hump
4-speed pedals
Z-bar pivot on frame
Crusty Doors
Dented Fenders
(Interior is not included in sale...he's keeping it for his car)
8-3/4 Rear
Not sure what's in the trunk.....LOL
The shell would make a good drag car, NO VIN, NO TITLE

Do you have the whole VIN? If the tags went AWOL like that, it is possible the car was stolen & someone was trying to cover their tracks.  :2cents:

One way or the other removing the dash VIN was a felony, but if it is a stolen car I am sure the real owner would like it back. Email me if you like?
