Are you sure? I just got off the phone with PG classics to get these returned for a 70 set :banghead:

I wish you luck. I got burned with those same B-Body mirrors when I first bought my car. My car had cheap aftermarket mirrors on it, so I bought those mirrors in your second pic as the ad on E-Bay said they were for '70 E-Bodies. NO way!! I found out later they were 73-74 B-Body mirrors. I can't wait to see what P.G. sends you.

Yup, those are b-body mirrors. I still have a set from the last Charger I had. My 70 mirrors and my 71-4 mirrors both mount the same. I've already test fit them. I'm put the 70 style on my 73.

OK so I measured the holes on the door and from centre of one hole to the centre of another is 5 inches. What does the 70 style measure  :dunno:
measure across from hole to hole???

I'm not sure what the 70 mirrors distance are but I can tell you when I get home on Friday. I'm in Seattle for work right now. I did just buy a pair of chrome 70's mirrors for the challenger from Dave at Roseville Moparts. They beat everyones price even PG classic for CC members.

In all truth, you would be best off passing on the 71 - 74 mirrors at the price you paid to shift them quickly, and then put the remainder of what is needed towards a new set of 70 style mirrors............ just my :2cents:

My biggest concern now is if the 70 style mirror will fit? Can someone measure the distance from screw to screw and tell me if it is 5 inches. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

I have PG Classic's 70 Challenger drivers side mirror on my 70 Challenger. It replaced the original mirror without any modification to the door and was a easy bolt-on change. The distance between the screws heads is 3"
Hope this helps - Mike

Ok. It was a b body mirror on there!! I guess my choices are to buy the b body mirrors and put them on with no mods to doors. Or put the 71's on and have to paint the doors again! More money!! What would you guys do? How different would it look with the b body doors on there?

Look, In all honesty...Those B-Body mirrors do look like the 70 E-Body mirrors with a longer bolt pattern. It's not a big deal, but I was pi$$ed since I thought they would fit the E-Body bolt pattern when I bought them. So, if those mirrors are in good shape, and you don't care about being totally correct, then go for it.   :2thumbs:

Thanks MEK :2thumbs: I really appreciate your input. In all honesty I think I will go with the B Body mirrors. There isn't much difference in the two.

Thanks to all :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

I'll add one comment, the mirrior on my 70 is pretty small and really limits visability. :clueless:

That appears to be the standard (non-remote) mirror.
