Craftsman garden tractor
« on: March 09, 2009 - 01:39:22 PM »
I pulled my tractor out of the shed the other day, wouldn't start so I got to looking at it. My dog chewed all of the wires and pigtails that were accesable.  I called sears parts and looked it up on-line to see if I could buy a new electric harness.

The person on the phone didn't have a clue if the part number was for a complete harness and if it was terminated like in the pic.

Can someone tell me if sears part number 194276 is a complete harness or not?  My model number for my tractor is # 917.287462

That is what it looked like to me also, I asked the person if they were terminated with pigtails and hardware and they said no, they don't make a complete harness. If that is so what Am I looking at ??? :clueless: :clueless:

I would say that it is a complete harness judging by the pic. I have had good luck with Sears parts ordering off of the pics. :dunno:

yeah I guess I will just buy it and see, if it doesn't work then it doesn't work.

Not sure what they are getting for small engine repair right now, but guess it would be $60 per hour or so. If I could re-wire it myself, looks like about $70.00 in parts.
