The poly you use may also factor in to that as well. I've always uesed PST poly-graphite, lubed them up on install, and not had any major noise issues. I've never tried Energy Suspension or any other brands out there. I've also had rubber bushings that have squeaked as well, so rubber isn't a guarantee to be free from noise.
Shock wise you about at the limits of what regular gas charged shocsk will do well with. If all you do is cruise and the budget is tight, Gabriel or Monroe gas shocks will work, but drive it too hard and they'll fade fast. Ebrock may be a better choice for foxed valving, or QA1 if you want to have an adjustable.
