     Here's how I found my dutchman panel when I removed it.
    Looks like the original was cut down the center, and another piece off of a different Challenger was welded over it.
    Before I stared grinding down all the bondo years ago that filled the top of it, I swear it was an inch thick.
    Funny thing is I never knew for over ten years  :bricks1:  :dupe:
     I'm sure a lot of us were there at one time though, including myself.
    I remember "fixing" the quarter panel on my very first car, (72 Challenger) with screen, cardboard, and bondo  :-[
    Being 16 back then is my excuse  :biggrin:

    I'd dig this tread up in a few years when I go through mine. I already know that I will have plenty of suprises waiting for me!!! For starters I can already tell my quarter panels were put on by a 3rd grader!!! :bricks1:

    Here are some pics of a '74 'CUDA I have.  It was just covered in bondo but the price was right. Floors cowl and longitudinals are pretty nice believe it or not..
    It would make a good project with all the parts available these days.
    The 318 3 speed is still in it and it's an original KY5 Yellow blaze car.  The Yellow peeks out from under the red here and there.

    I drove it for a while back in the day but now it needs restoration

    I found several things that were not exactly fixed the way I would do it on my Challenger.

    One is an exhaust system that had been pieced together with different size pipes, different materials, and dozens of welds everywhere.

    The other was a trunk floor covered in fiberglass with various pieces of metal used as a backing, including a Texas license plate. Gotta love it.

    Those are pretty good, but I think this is right up there in that league.  Found this once I ripped up the carpet and poked around underneath.  Ignore the ricer crap on the pedals...this was the driver side floor pan and trans tunnel material.
