Which version?

None are known from the first one, two (from memory) survive from the Fox version.

Somebody in New Zealand claims to have the auto car from the first movie which was the only car to really survive the filming, only speculation though as MOPAR took all the cars back and wouldn't have wanted to sell the wrecks especially as a newer model had been released before the film.   :2cents:

I have the dvd version of the movie and the director talks about the cars in the commentary. He said Chrysler gave them so many and they wrecked all but 1 and some lady stole it, but they got it back.  I know they used a camaro at the end of the movie when it ran into the bulldozers.

This was on last night on one of the classic movie channels in all of its uncut glory (swearing, nudity, pot etc). I had not see it in years, it was really better than I remembered it. Having seen only cut tv versions, I was quite surprised (and pleased) to see the prett young lady riding around on the Honda (naked) for like 5 minutes. Also did they beat the living crap out of the Challenger(s) or what, holy cow!

I am thinking it was a Firebird at the end, I watched it frame by frame, the tail lights, sail panel, and silver painted wheels struck me as Pontiac, although I was always told it was a Camaro.

Is there some kind of message here, like it wasn't really Kowalski that crashed?

He's talking about a guy down South. I can't go into details as said owner asked me to keep it quiet as far as car details go until he is ready to let people know, fair enough to I guess.

I needed that laugh Andrew.  :lol2: :drunk:

A friend who restores Mopars locally, bought a B5 70 white Chally that was a B5 car originally, in Tonopah, NV last summer.  Turns out it was one of the VP cars & was originally sold to the movie by Reno Dodge, according to Don Weir, the dealership owner.
He resold the car, but pretty cool to have owned it for a little while.
