Thats great Matt.   Glad to hear it's on the roll.  Don"s car is running now.  He bought a dana for it. I will install it when he sends it down. I am building another dana now, since he bought another guys kit. What gear you running?  Don's car ended up being a 496 rb stroker, with billet steel mains, a girdle and ported stealths .  4200  stall rev manual vb, 2 inch hookers and right now his choice is 410 or 373 dana. I've got 354's here too.   Maybe we could do some runs together at carlisle...ALAN

Thanks Alan,

Great to hear from you. Hope you got my Christmas card. I know you've been really really busy after your surgery. Glad you're mobile again. Don't over-do it!! I wish I had a Dana 60. It's the one thing I need with 651 ft/lbs of torque. I'm running the 3:91 posi 8 3/4 rear end you built that I purchased from you a year or two ago. It does great and will do fine until I put slicks on and hook up good. Then I might just break it??  :22yikes: Don's car sounds wicked!! Maybe enough to give Jason a run for the money. I saw Jason's video & his car is smokin' awesome!! I'll have to install a roll cage to be able to legally run mine down the track. Right now it's just a blast to drive. It's the quickest car I've ever owned. I drove it to Carlisle in 2010 with no problems!! Now it's up to the Cuda Guy!!  :bananasmi

:ylsuper:  I got your card.  I'll be back on my feet soon.  Don's car is on the same level build as yours. Jason is pushing atleast 150 more ponies than us, if not more.  I just hung up the phone chattin with Don. He is stoked , to say the least.  Hope to see you at the show

Yeah Jason, kinda cheated!  Went and got a lighter car and even started throwing big boy money out there!  You know went with cubic dollars and ended up with insane street car!  He has got me by a bit I suspect...  but that dont mean we wont race!!!

Go get 'em Don!! I'm glad to see you back on the site!  Sorry to hear about you situation at home. Life can sure throw us some curves. You just gotta get back in the saddle and keep going forward!! I doubt if I ever drive the Challenger to Carlisle again. It's just too far to drive that beast (3:91 gears and NO A/C) in the July heat, not to mention 8 mpg!!  :22yikes: I don't have a trailer or anything to pull it with. So if I do make it up there this summer, it will be in my '68 Cuda. It's nothing to look at or nothing like the Chally as far as sheer power (just a mild 360) but it drives sweet. I'd love to see you & Jason (and/or Old School) roll down the track!! Tell Alan to make a video of that 'Cuda doing a burnout!! Sounds like a wicked motor!!  :working: I'll repost some pics of mine (on the dyno and on the stand) when I find them. I do have a few of it after I installed it!  :2thumbs:

Matt,

Engine looking good bro!  I would suspect, just as Alan did that it would be a closer race between me and you if we could get the cars to hook.  Keep in mind that when me and Jason started talking smack he had almost the exact set up I have now except in a Challenger, in fact I bought his roller cam he had speced for his old car!  So...  your build and mine are prob quite close for power and tq although you have a lot more cid than me, I got the roller ect.  Would be a great race Im sure.

Life did suck for me for about 5 months but Im back and ready!  Hope to meet you in person soon.

Alan made a similar joke a few years ago, he said something like, you got to quit buying parts off Jason, he is just taking the money and buying faster parts!!!  It was pretty funny at the time because I had just got that cam and rocker set from you!
