    anyone recall off the cone colors for the 70 vs 71-4 rally cones?

    I think the 70 was bright and later were darker.

    the Arget paint is the "darker" equivalent??

      I guess you are talking about the center caps on Rally wheels? 70 was light argent, 71 was dark. I believe 72-74 were light again, but they looked different from 70-71. Are you looking to find the paint?

    I am going to put the cone centers on my rallys .  and use them on the 73 Challenger.

    this is not an all original car, but somewhat close.

    The caps I have are in pairs.  Two are original, and two are painted, so I imagine I will paint the set to make them look even.

    so yes, I am debating over light/dark, and if I should just get a can of the argent paint (was this the light or dark color) and be done with it.

      It sounds like you have the 70-71 caps. The 72-74 caps were somewhat star shaped in the middle. I say that for lack of a better description :-[ 70 were light argent, 71 were dark. It's a matter of taste, since you have a 73. I know the Paddock, and Year One sell re-pro's, if you want to look at pictures. As for the paint, I got mine from totallyautoinc.com Good luck.

    yes these are the cones, not the acorn style centers.

    so arget is the 70 version.  Truethfuly I could paint the things any can of silver/grey and most would not pay atention. As these are not even correct year.

    I have an old set of the acorn style, but am not too wild about them. Not nocking them...

    so I guess its a choice of prefrence or what goes with sublime the best. (and proper trim rings)
