    Thanks for the tip solarguy.  My carb is pretty clean. But when I pull it apart tomorrow if it need a deep cleaning I will check it out at Autozone.

    The carb rebuild went well.  :clapping:  The only minor issue was that the rebuild kit had a different accelerator pump than the original.  A round shaft compared to a flat shaft for the original, but the original was in good shape so I lubed it and reused it. 

    It has a slight stumble off idle that I can’t tune out though.  :clueless:

    that could be a worn accelerator pump.  can you carefully remove the cup seal from the new one and put it on the other shaft?  That is assuming they are the same size cup seal?

    I was thinking the same thing.  I am going to the place I got the carb kit from to see if they have the correct one.  If not, I may try to switch out the cups.

    Just look down inside the carb with a light. Any slight movement of the thottle should make gas squirt out the nozzels. If it takes more than just slight movement you'll have a stumble. Make sure that linkage that goes to the pump arm is adjusted like the kit says.
