I need an opinion
« on: March 16, 2009 - 12:10:48 AM »
I'm looking at a 1970 Lemon Twist Yellow Plymouth Barracuda M46 Optioned 383 4 Barrel. What's it worth? I'm looking at purchasing it for about $4,500

And if it is coded with an L for the engine option it is not a 383 4barrel rather it is a 383 2 barrel :2thumbs:

As far as I know right now it is coded for a 383 4-barrel if that was a real option for barracudas of M46 optioned ones at least. I was yellow at one point in time, so I'm guessing Lemon Twist? But I don't a have a pic but it's in need of some TLC. If I get pics I'll show ya

Sounds like it is probably worth picking up as long as there is not structural damage. Does it have the original drivetrain still?

Thanks guys. It's coming with the engine, no trans. but I's coming with the doors, and hood. I'm not sure on the deck lid, but I'll check into it. It looked structurally sound. all four wheels. Seemed complete but the interior, but I haven't seen it in person yet. So I'll be checking into it tomorrow. or later tonight. Thanks for the link.

I'm curious as to wether or not it is the same car.
Is the car in Minnesota? Or is it somewhere down near you?
Can't wait for some pics!!
Get the fender tag readout for sure.
Did the guy tell you it was an M46 optioned car?

Good luck!!

That would be very interesting to see an N code M46.
Can't be too many of those.
Isn't the N supposed to only be on the 'cuda?

Edit: I found it. I think. It looks just like it but I thinks thats snow in those pics

N code is the designation for 383 4 barrel.
L code is the designation for 383 2 barrel.

A 'Cuda numbers start with BS in the Vin number, a Barracuda starts with BH in the Vin code :2thumbs:

Do not feel bad, that is the same car we linked you too.  M46 was only available as either a Barracuda or Gran Coupe option nly and not availble in the 'Cuda line up.

All is good and good luck in finding the car you want. :2thumbs:
