A tavern keeper notices Cap'n Hedcase walk up to his bar.  He says "Cap'n Hedcase, I see you lost and arm and an eye since y'was 'ere last how'd it 'appen?"

The Captain answers,  "I lost me hand in a sword fight and had to be fitted for me hook."

"And what about the eye Cap'n?"

"Arg! I was looking up at the sails, checking the riggin' & a seagull pooped in me eye!"

"You lost your eye from bird poop?"

"No! But y'see, it twas me first day with me hook".
