What kind of glue to use for rallye cluster bezel?
« on: March 19, 2009 - 10:26:53 PM »
I just pulled my old bezel apart from the plastic and metal backing plate. What kind of glue do I use to adhere it to the metal backing plate that twist locks into the plastic gauge surround? I cannot believe how old and toasty the old bezel is. Its going to be a treat to look at fresh gauges while driving.

I used contact cement & then made slots in the plastic for the alum tabs to lock into

Did you use the metal plate Neil? Looks to be that if I glue the new bezel to the metal plate and then use the slots that are already in the plastic that will be good. There are like 8 or 10 slots and the thin steel plate locks into the plastic with just a twist on the tabs. I can take pics if what I am saying does not make sense.
