Torsion Bar Seals & Boots

The seal & clips shown below, I'm certain, go in front of the frame to seal the grease in the torsion bar, but where do the boots go in the other picture attached?

The bottom ones are quite a bit cheaper, I've noticed.  Any drawback to them?

If those photos are the same scale, the bottom generic version will not seal around the lips in the crossmember.

They aren't to scale. The bottom ones are the polyurethane version of the originals, they go in the same place. Since the poly is less flexible though it is a little harder to get them over the lip on the crossmember, I've heard soaking them in hot water helps...

  this is what I have ....also you don't get new retainers with the Poly

That clears things up for me.  Thanks for all the help. I suppose you don't get the original look with the poly's, but they may be more durable.

The originals are very durable, i still take these off cars today in salvage yards and some seem to be like new condition

Here is Australia, we used these same seals on every Valiant from the begining to the end.  All our Valiants were A-body's but they are the exact same seal used on e-body's as well would not be hard to find some
