THE BATRAM
« on: March 22, 2009 - 07:04:01 AM »

Hi CCC, the BATRAM is now complete and I'm very happy and very proud of the way it has turned out. All but the new upholstery of the seats were done by myself with the help from Dad including all the details, vision and photos/videos so it turly is one of my own creations. There are a lot of fine details and Bat touches that are not shown in the photos below. I won't bore you all to tears with every detail and the mods list, etc. These can be viewed on my website: Carlwalski.Com While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, I'm over the F%#ken moon with it!!

Cheers,
Carlwalski

 :wow:  :woo:

Those pics are amazing  :clapping:, and that thing is downright bad@ss  :ylsuper:
Love the overhead shots!
I'm so envious of the background you have to work with  :worshippy

I'm thinking this is the kind of vehicle that Eric, (Slotts Jr.) needs.

 Great job NZ440RT
You should be real proud

How'd you do that see thru hood by the way?
The first thing that came to mind is when MCG did that on their cover car back in 91, and they had a ton of write in's asking how they did that??

Thank you very much guys. I love it but it's nice to see others like the work as well. Thanks, photography is a hobby of mine, getting better with every shoot, I've been told I have the "eye" when it comes to taking photos of cars lol. I'm very proud of the shots. The backdrop definitely helps in many ways, no clutter, simple, clean and it sets the scene. No bikini model sits in the driveway or in front of bins for her shoot so why should the cars? You HAVE to give them the stage they so deserve. Hopefully it will inspire some of you to get out there and go nuts. Just have to think outside the box.

Now, on to your question, the "See thru" hood is very simple to do. You need a tripod and that's it LMAO. I also use a wire remote to make sure it's perfectly still. Park the vehicle up in any location/background, take 2 or 3 shots with the hood closed then 2 or 3 more with the hood up. Then using photoshop start with the engine showing photo as your base then put the hood closed image on top. Because you used a tripod and were careful not to bump it (right ;) ) then the photos will be a perfect match. Then use the "erase" tool set around 30-50% or what ever you want and work your way around the hood making it "see thru". It's a great effect and easy to do.

Thanks again guys.

 Many thanks Carl
Though I'm pretty certain I'll fail miserably at trying this, at least I know what direction to head if I ever have a Challenger with a motor in it

And no doubt, you definitely have the eye for great photography

 Great looking truck!!!!
I'd love to get one of those trucks myself. There's just something wicked about a Viper motor and a manual transmission in a truck!
