727 kick down lever? ( needed? )

Hello,
My car (70 challenger ) came with no downshift linkage so I have ordered a lokar kit. All I have on the tranny is 1 arm for the B&M shifter that someone put in. Do I need another "arm" for the kickdown? Sorry I'm new a 727's LOL
 If I do need a arm does anyone have one?

So I do need one then. I wasen't sure how the lokar kit worked? Have you used a Lokar kit before? Is it easy to install? I'm new to 727 or Mopar tranny's in general.

I will give you a lever free-shipping and all. If you look at the picture in your other thread:





it is sometimes necessary to drill a different hole in the lever to make the "ratio" faster then the factory hole on the tip.

I personally like this kit better due to the "adjustability" of it.

if the tranny now shifts on its own you need one or the trany is on the way out , if you have to shift to change gears you may have a manual valve body & in that case it is not needed

I recieved the car without one. The seller says it is a "fresh rebuild" That scares me as that means different things to different people! I have never driven the car yet thanks to DAS shipping. The seller installed a B&M shifter  ( yuck ) but no kickdown parts.  It was a column shift before  6 cyl..He seemed to just cobble it  up to get it on the truck, so I doubt it has a manual valve body on it. How can I tell just by looking?

You can't tell by just looking unless you take the pan off.

By driving it:
Manual VB= if you put it in drive it takes off in drive(third gear)
if you put it in second it takes off in second etc.

Ok Thanks! The 440 was out of a Motorhome I have no clue what the tranny is out of, but every thing seemed to be done very "cheaply" so I'm betting there is not a manual valve body in it? So I guess I'll need an arm.
