                 Can anyone tell me how much advance your vac/adv distibutor should give ?  (how many degrees)

generally you will get about 20* of Mechanical advance , you can weld the slots closed a bit to limit the advance
 the vacuum pots are different the arm has a # stamped on it that tells how much advance they can add , they can be adjusted with an allen wrench on most electronic dist , turning the wrench counterclockwise will reduce the amount of advance
