the car was originally a blue on blue 318 S/E. I really wasnt a big fan of the blue interior or the blue paint. I saw a burnt orange challenger on ebay one day adn fell in love with the color, plus there arent very many burnt orange ones out there so the color sticks out. The interior is all black, i thought about doing black and orange interior but decided not to, I also put a big back glass in it because i didnt like how little visibility i had out it, but i did keep all of the s/e only parts incase i ever wanted to restore it back to a SE.

your car just looks worse because when i got mine it had a lot of very poorly done bodywork to hide the rust, luckily my dad does bodywork for a living so we knew that when we bought it. on your roof i would suggest just welding in some patch panels on the big spots then just use fiberglass before you use the bondo, since the fiberglass is water resistant it wont bubble like bondo, then just make sure your vynil top gets put on really good so no water can get under it and no one will ever be able to tell that it used to be really rusty. thats what we did on my car and like i said my dad does body work for a living and it has held up very well so far.

I used fiberglass on the Black Challenger I did and it held up really well and did not bubble and the paint looked good for years.  I dont really like bondo any more.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Bondo is good for filling in dents.  If you use it for rust repair, even pin holes you are fighting a loosing battle because the first time it gets wet it will bubble.   I fiberglassed the cab corner on my 66 ford pickup that is my daily driver and it has held up great for 2 years now, looks good as new and it gets parked outside and driven everyday no matter how bad the weather is.    Fiberglass is definalty the way to go

:clapping: Welcome to the site!  What a great project to do with your dad.  Your car has come a long way, and it shows.

Yea I am VERY lucky to have a dad that can show me how to do all of this stuff and help me along the way. It really made us a lot closer. He also helped me restore my daily driver a, 66 f-100, but since this is a mopar site i probably shouldnt put a pic of just it on here, so here is a pic of my f-100 and challenger together
