My wife informed me that they got the new tax book yesterday. She said they had just been sent a new one in November or so of last year. Well this one is a doozy. The girls making close to or minimum wage had just had their federal income tax DOUBLE! Now does that sound like the promises of "only those with incomes over 140k will have an increase"? I am just wondering what my income tax increase will be. More good news from the people that keep having those "lets see how far we can throw their money" contests.

Do you mean the federal wage payroll deduction? The last one I got had minor changes. A guy making $600 a week(ish) maybe a dollar differance. (BIG flippin' deal!!) Got the new one this week , haven't had time to compare yet.

Yeah thats the one. I know its not much to some of us but one young lady who had been getting 20 dollars deducted from her check each week not pays 19 dollars and change more. That is a huge increase and alot more than just a dollar. People at that level need every dollar they can get and this takes almost 80 dollars a month more out of their pockets, not a small amount when you are barely making a living.

Ok I took a look to compare.. (slow day here at the shop!!)

single person .. 0 deduction  paid bi-weekly ($600)
old.. $61  new $44
single person.. 0 dedeuction paid weekly ($600)
old.. $76   new $67

married person 2 deduction paid weekly ($800)
old...$61   new $46

single person 3 deduction  paid weekly ($900)
old.. $90   new $80

so there is some savings on the federal level. Something in your info is not correct. I have the book right in front of me.

Of course here in Wis. our governor is RAISING the fees on EVERYTHING!!
so we will pay out more just on the other end!!

I myself don't smoke, but the people I know that do smoke are paying 7 dollars a pack! That's just crazy! I live in Texas by the way. I know that really doesn't have anything to do with federal taxes.

Our Governor hasn't done anything since she got in besides give concessions to unions and tax the small business right out of Michigan...

...a new federal tax on cigarettes and most tobacco products goes into effect April 1st....a little over $6. per carton increase...most smokers are lower/middle income
