Street_Challenged73's European Update
« on: March 26, 2009 - 10:28:27 AM »
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still around and while I may not be on the site too often this semester, I'm still lurking every so often.  My past two months here in Holland have been a blast and I've gotten to know a lot of different nationalities (Finnish, French, Greek, Spanish, Romanian, German, Swedish, Irish, Russian, etc) and have met someone I really like from Finland. :grinyes: :worshippy  The weather could definitely warm up anytime soon now 'cause it's usually mid-40s* F and ALWAYS seems to be raining. :-\  Aside from that, I am really enjoying myself on another continent and am really looking forward to meeting my relatives from Italy on my next large vacation (in May).  Oh, and I found it funny how a lot of the things from the movie "EuroTrip" seems to hold true.  I hear a lot of popular U.S. hip-hop/rap club hits that got tuned into European remixes (aka Techno/Trance)...To the whole soccer hooligan scene with Manchester United (people told me they really are like that in the U.K.)   I'll post a couple photos for those members without Facebook.

Haha, I'll add a couple more photos for you, Steve. ;)  The first is a Dutch girl I know, the next is a really cool girl from Southern Ireland (the Republic), and I won't post any of the one I like.  These were from a '70s-themed party we threw several weekends ago.  Hopefully they don't mind I posted these... ::)

Haha, she is very nice on the eyes in person!  I still can't get over the whole casual way the guys attempt to hit on women here, though.  Tonight I was out with the girl I like and two different guys began hitting on her WHILE I was sitting next to her with my hand around her neck...It still amazes me how up front some of these people can be and how they would get a rude awakening anywhere in the U.S. :villagers:  I held back on the last guy, but proceeded to flip him off while I walked away with her; it made me feel a little better about the whole situation. :D
