The Nats. are basically for the drag racing, and it is a lot of fun seeing all those Mopars straight lineing together. But otherwise it is a dusty (or muddy) over priced weekend. But we go also to meet some old friends and hopefull make some new ones too. We usually try to meet for a group pic and wear a c-c.c T-shirt to attract other members. Heck, they used to even include an event T in the goodie bag, but that hasn't happened for quite a few years, just another way to get another $20 bucs out of ya I guess.

Carlisle sure spoils ya and they really know how to organize a show. But to be honest in one regard the organizers of the Nats., the show itself are limited and structured by the drag strip owner as I undestand it.  :dunno:

OK...I took too long to make a reservation and now it looks like I may be camping in my car if I can't find a room.  Does anyone have an extra room or spare bed?

You could get a room in my town. Were about 25 minutes out. Heath, and the track are about the same distance. I dont think our hotels are ever full. Mount Vernon, Ohio. By the time you drive around Columbus traffic, its probably faster from where I am at. If I can be any help, pm me and I will give you my number...Chris

Holiday Inn Express (740)392-1900 (If bringing a trailer, have to park in the theater next door)
Amerihost Inn 1(800)982-2108  (Plenty of room for a trailer)

Pretty quiet safe little town

Saturday night, the place to be is on Hebron Rd. for the big Heath Cruise.  We can once again get together for a quick bite at Stacy's Homestyle Buffet around 6:00 PM. That will give us time to get a good spot to watch or cruise the cruise.   The cruise stops at 10 PM. You can still cruise Hebron but the police don't allow burnouts on the street after 10.   My Hotel seems to have some kind of Burnout contests till at least 12. We stay in the Quality Inn in Heath, right next to the cruise area.  The back parking lot seems to have alot of smoke at all times.

Waddauthink?

Tent is on the OTHER side of the track, where the judged cars are. Weren't you there last year when it was the Challenger Tribute tent and the picture?
