The hood hinges fit well, work well, no problems.   The trunk lid looks awsome, fit is good-very good.  The only issue is at the aft end of the edges that run parallel to the rear quarters, the trunk lid edge runs out toward the quarters on both L/R sides of the trunk lid.  All other edges look and fit great.
The rear bumper and brackets were for a 70 Challenger to have the style that fits up closer to the body.  The shape of the bumper appeared identical to my 74 bumper, just had the holes drilled for the earlier style brackets.   Disappointment here.   The brackets fit to the car body, but the holes to attach the AMD bumper to the AMD brackets did not line up.  Even though the brackets had slotted holes on one end, they still did not fit.  So on to the bumper.  The holes in the bumper did line up perfectly to a set of used 1970 OEM mopar brackets.  So the bumper holes are correct.  BUT.... the bumper itself, along the top surface that runs parallel to the lower edge of the tail lights;  this surface was not flat at all, had a large crown to it.  If you look down the length of the bumper, a sizeable rise in this surface was noticeable.  The rise was so bad that the bumper almost touched at midspan, whereas at each end there was the correct clearance of a good half inch or more.  I made copies of numerous rear bumper pics, some of them from original Dodge dealer ads.  The bumpers have an evenly spaced gap between them and the taillights on ALL years of Challengers.
AMD was excited that they were shipping parts to an auto body shop.  But after the bumper issue, the shop was not impressed at all.  I doubt they would buy from AMD in the future considering AMD's brackets didn't fit their own bumper.  The body shop had recently finished an Olds 442 and were working on an early Mustang; so they are not strangers to resto parts.
I'll be contacting AMD early next week to arrange for a better bumper or a refund.  I'll let you know what happens.

Is that the bumper they are re-doing? I heard from MoparDave that they were retooling the Challenger rear bumper for some reason. Sorry it did not fit right.

I did a search on bumpers, sure enough the talk is AMD is retooling the rear bumper.  So why in the h*ll did they send me a POS bumper when they knew it was no good?

I want my money back.

because they figure that if they can sell ONE and have no complaints then that is one less they will have to scrap when the retooled bars come in, WHEN ever that is, I think they are stalling on these to see if they can sell down the junk ones. call them you will get your money back.

Good lord how can they not get complaints? That is one serious bow in the bumper. Wonder how their tooling got that far off to begin with?

bad sample parts. bad test fit, when I first called them they told me that the crown was correct and that they were checked, I called them back and said no way, kinda had to argue with them to get them to notice.

Thanks Mopardave
My original bumper has some of the same crown.  WHY... because the bumpers been hit and is BENT.   You can see the impact points on the bumper, so its a dead give away to the problem.

Called AMD today.  They are refunding the cost for the bumper brackets, and will be sending me a new bumper when they are ready.  Supposed to be in 2 months or so.  Said I don't need to return the defective bumper.

Cool, experiment with the bumper, put it in a press and see if you can straighten it out, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

You read my mind.  Don't have a press, but will try a few ideas.
