I was at the Good Guys show yesterday in Pleasanton and stumbled across this 70 R/T Challenger. I found the owner and talked to him for a while. Real nice guy and the story behind the car was amazing. The car was ordered as an B5 blue R/T with a 383, 4 speed, shaker hood, rallye gauge, vinyl top, rear spoiler, etc car. The guy who ordered went down to the dealership (here in the bay area) the day it came in and checked it out. The dealership said all he had to do was sign the papers and drive off. The guy said he would be back that night with his wife to get the car. Well that day he was in a Corvette with his brother and they died in a car crash. In 1971 the guy I met went to the dealership to buy a car to replace his 63 fury and bought the Challenger. It had 1 repaint in the early 70's by a dealership and has 69,000 original miles. This car has not been on the road since 1980. The guy decided he needed to start driving the car againg so here it is.
