Been through some though times in the 33 years we've been together. There was high school, scraping by for fuel, insurance, car parts.... What was left over went to the basic necessities such as food.
In 83 after living on my own for 5 years, I couldn't pay the rent and lost my home. Had to move in with the folks which was humbling. There wasn't a decent job prospect in sight either. Pretty discouraging.
Eventually a new job in a machine shop cleaning parts and any other basic work got things moving forward again.
The early eighties were as tough as right now and as strange as it seems, The Dodge was always a saving grace. Something to fall back on when jobs, girls, or life in general went south. A positive aspect of life.
OK, Ok,
