Has anyone ever called your challenger a charger??

I have been driving my 70 challenger for about 2 months now and i have put about 150 miles on it, just driving it on nice days. There has only been one person stop me and say nice challenger, i have had probably 50 people stop me and tell me that i have a nice charger. I was just wandering if this has ever happened to anyone else.

I used to do it all the time! My friend's dad had a 1971 Challenger 440 6Bbl and I used to always call it a Charger..

There is a picture of my Challenger in my high school year book and the moron in the journalism class that put the page together labeled it a Charger in the year book even though the grille emblem is clearly readable in the picture. So yeah happens.

I think it is just that the name Charger is better known . People who know I have a car but never saw it refer to it as a Charger .

Same thing here !They also say a Barracuda and Challenger are the same thing  . Its like the guy who always has to do your engine one better with the 440 HEMI
