Having fun is what I'm doing too much of.  This is a car that should be reserved for special events, but I can't help myself, its too much fun.   My other cars are starting to get jealous.

Yes it is a real one.  It has a correct TA block but not the one that came with that body, same with the 4 speed.  I don't know about the rearend yet.  It is original FJ5 Limelight.  Some stuff is still original & not that great of shape, other stuff looks new.  Came from Iowa in very poor condition, rebuilt in CA around 2001, sat many years, went to Vegas then to Oregon.  I got it Nov 2007 & sent it to FL.  I'm picking at it little at a time to bring the quality up.  I drive it a lot.  I wanted a real 71 Hemi Cuda in lime green but I can't afford it so this was the next best one.  I have not been disappointed.

:wow: So,  what rear leaf springs are stock in a AAR? The 440 six pack, or the 20" front segment S.S. for 3300lbs? They (AAR's) all look to high (for the side pipes to clear the ground) in the back for them to be HD 440's. Anyone know?
The speed shop LD340 intakes that I've seen were not painted, if that is what you have there.

The rear springs are special to AAR/TA. They raise the back so there is clearance for the side exhaust tips. Same reason they run taller tires in the rear than in the front.

If you are looking for reference restored pictures look at Troy's T/A pictures I posted here in the archive section: http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=58273.0  There's a lot of stuff you can slowly pick away at that honestly isn't a ton of cash.

One of the top restored T/A's in the country.

That is the most beautiful engine compartment I've ever seen!!!  It looks like I have a way to go.  Thank you for the picture link.  I will study it.  One thing I noticed is the manifolds are a rust color not gray.  Is that correct for all AAR's?

The exhaust manifolds were on the engine when the engine was painted, so what you see is orange engine paint that the heat has baked.
