headlight buckets

anyone ever install headlight buckets and all the nessary hardware? where does the screw and spring go? I'm doing a 71 challey :clueless:

My car was a shell when I got it.Today I am going to have my body guy put them on.I will let you know.

There are marked L or R.Put the screw in the spring and screw it in the hole that is is on flange that is semi round.Put the end of the spring in the little slot on the bucket from the inside out.You will be able to tell where the adjusters go.The adjusters will go in first.

This what I'm talking about. Where does the screw and sping go? I see the spot for the two adjusters but the screw and sping escape me?? :clueless:

Kevin,

In the last picture right where your fingers are that is the location for the spring.There should be a hole in body that you screw the spring into and then attach it from behind thru that small little slot in the bucket.That slot is to the right of your fingers.

There is no hole in the body to attach the screw. I guess I will have to put in both adjusters on and attach the bucket and then drill a hole that lines up with the bucket.:banghead: :pullinghair:

Did you get your car back from the body shop? If so please post some pics, would love to see some of your car! Also post some headlight bucket pics if it's not to much trouble :biggrin: :bigsmile:

Mine is a cuda.The bucket is the same.They must attach somewhat of the same.My friend took a picture of it.When he emails it to me I will forward it.Should be within the next hour or so.

Thanks 4 speed! Mine is different. I don't have the backing plate that you bucket is connected to :clueless: I wonder if the challenger and cuda fenders are differnt that way or am i missing the plate?
