Challenger shifter linkage help!!!!
« on: April 05, 2009 - 03:10:23 AM »
I bought this car with a B&M floor shifter bolted in front of the bench seat.I put the original "column shift" column back in the car.I have linkage pieces I bought off Ebay.I dont even know if this will work???

1st-The part with the arrow...where does this bolt to?It looks like the trans somewhere, but I cant see anywhere it can line up with.

2nd-The circled part... Can I just hook this up to the selector on the trans without the rod that is supposed to go back for a console shift car?
Please help...this is the only thing keeping me from driving this car now.
Thank you!

The part with the arrow bolts on here

The linkage piece ABOVE the circle looks like slap stick linkage and it is not needed with the column shift linkage.

Oh this sucks BAD! My trans does NOT have that boss or threaded hole.Maybe I can frabricate a bracket to hold that piece.Im a toolmaker and can CNC fab some nice stuff.Have you ever heard of any one doing this?

I was afraid of that since you said you did not see a place for it to bolt to. I am sure something could be fabricated.

You have an earlier case that's all. The only thing I would know to do is build an adapter bracket coming up from the pan bolts.
