440 Magnum Eemblems
« on: April 05, 2009 - 11:07:22 AM »
Here is my problem . My car has a R/T hood on it (I'm guessing) from the 73 - 74 time . No holes to mount emblems , they had stick on . 440 only came in 71 and 70 . I bought new emblems with post . I can not just drill holes because you could not get to the back of the emblems . Did they change the braces on the underside of the hood after 71 or am I missing something . Please help . :banghead:

I don't know what they changed, but if it was me i would grind off the tabs on the emblems and get some 3m double sided tape instead of drilling holes

Yes, Barrel Nuts.  End of problem.  Any good hardware store has these.  Usually in drawers in automotive fasteners sections.

Afraid those are not barrel nuts...those, or something similar, holds fender emblems
