Truthfully, I think that is about the right price for a 383 car. I don't think it's a sad day for anyone except the owner's daughter who obviously loves the car judging by the smile on her face sitting therre in the driver's seat.
I have a numbers matching 1970 Challenger R/T, also a 383 car, and I will be ecstatic if I get close to that dollar amount when I finish it. I think speculators have ruined our hobby by driving the prices up to a point where the average Joe could not afford his dream car even if it was a "just 383 car" he/she wanted not to mention the Six Pack and Hemi Cars.
