70' Cuda Dash Pad Swap - just finished
« on: April 08, 2009 - 06:54:39 PM »
Ok...
So after reading tons of post on here about how tough a job it is to swap out a dash pad on a 70' Cuda, I gathered all the tips, hints, diagrams that you all had to offer on this site....

I must say, I was finished in a little over 3 1/2 hours.  Went smooth as glass.  Having experience with installing/removing the gauge cluster helped as well has having all the right tools to get to the bolts in the vents.

If anyone ever needs tips or wants to talk through a swap over the phone, I'm here.

Without this site, I'm sure this could have been an all weekend job.
Thanks

...Wait a minute. It took me that long just to get the old dashpad out.   :pullinghair:

Yes, knowing what I do now, I could do it faster...But congrats to you!!    :clapping:   :clapping:   :clapping:

I forgot to mention there were two of us fairly skilled mechanics doing it together.  That may have helped a lot on the time.

A dashpad thread without pictures? How could you?
You go back to that garage and take some pictures right now, young man!
