VooDoo or Engle are great cam grinds , the type depends on what you want the engine to do

my goal is 500 hp or close to it. 10:1 compression. want something that i can still run a brake booster and drive down the road. all of this is budget build but there are some areas that will be saved up for.

I would go solid cam minimum....  :2cents: not that much more money either  :working: mopar .528 with 1.6 rockers ...

Also If you go aluminum heads higher compression is more HP and still run pump gas...

Header options find a good used quality set and have them sandblasted and repainted with 1200* heat paint and will look good as new....

i was thinking of getting the 440 source heads. why the solid cam? does the voodoo come in the .528. why 1.6 rockers? I was thinking of getting a used set of headers and doing that.

if i go for a set up that is like this, do you think i will reach my 500 goal?

Easily 500HP with unported stealths .528 lift will get you .561 lift with 1.6 rockers....

When you figure out gearing, heads, and details, then ask about the cam. Cam makes everything work together, or doesnt.

I use mostly UltraDyne solid grinds , I virtually always use solid cams now unless someone really wants a hyd cam
we need to kno wwhat gearing you want to run , what tire size , what MPH you want to cruise at on the highway etc to determine where to put the powerband to work best
