Thanks for the input guys.  I feel confident it's the real deal.  The car is documented in Ola Neilsen's directory (the guy who keeps track of all the remaining Cuda convertibles), has all the docs and I am fimiliar with it's history.  The guy wants 130K and so far is sticking to the price.  A valuable car - but not that valuable!

Price might be a bit high, but if it's the only one currently on the market for sale, then all it takes is one buyer.  Bottom line is it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.  Unfortunately for us common folks, that level of rarity and originality is just way beyond our reach.

The last decent chance to buy a 'Cuda convertible came for me in about 2003. I was asking a Camaro nut to keep an eye out for E-body verts for me. He said he knew of a B5 71 340 car in Colorado. White billboards I think. He said the guy wanted 18k. When I told him to set it up, he called the guy only to find out it sold 6 months or so before.
