70 hemi cuda project no hemi or transmission
« on: April 10, 2009 - 01:57:37 PM »
So what is a 70 hemi cuda project car without the hemi, automatic transmission, fender tag and broadcast sheet worth? Below is a link to the ad. This car is an ex drag car too.

It is an ex drag car. I am shocked no one has an opinion on this one. No tag info cuz it's gone.

Depends 100% on the documentation.  It could be something Joe Public bought off the lot and converted, or was it a big-time racer?  I'm not saying it's not worth $50K (or more or less  :dunno: ), but the real value for that car will probably be in it's history, or lack of.

Basically the only documentation is the vin tag on the dash and I would assume the numbers on the cowl and radiator support. The guy claims he has several offers for 35k. I don't think its worth more than 20k since it is probably not going to be worth more than 100k done being an automatic hemi car with no fender tag or broadcast sheet and non numbers matching.

Like I said the only proof is the vin tag. I have not seen the car. I was going to go look at it until he told me he has offers of 35k.

I don't actually see a roll cage, just dirrect connection bolt on frame ties. It may have been a street car. It looks to be solid. And a hemi car with the body numbers matching is still an r code car. That would be a nice car to own in my eyes

If it is George, I can tell you he was off loading Hemi parts and other cool stuff on Craigslist over a year ago. He had quite a nice stash of stuff he was selling.

Scott owned it before and sold it to George. I spoke to George a few years ago because I believed then my engine was from his car. After research, it turned out it wasn't.
George was into Mopars way back. He told me some stories from back in the late sixties. One was bout Willie who had an A body Barracuda with a Superbird wing. George's health has been failing I believe and has been selling everything. What the story is on how and why it has lost it's vital parts, I'm unclear about. I'll try to find out more.

Looks like it was B3 blue. Would be a really cool car. Its a shame people cannot leave the fender tag alone.
