...Now since i will go only a few times ...should i have my psi at about 20?
and also if i have tight wheelwell tolerances do i have to worry about shredding a tire??? with lower pressure in the tires does it make the tire go closer to the spring/wheel lip? or does it only go closer with a lot of tire pressure?

Need more info like street tire or slick - also I've heard you don't want to go too low or you will just make your tire cup in the middle of contact area killing your traction ( also depending on HP and how much tire spin you have ).

I used to run 20 psi in the rear tires with a wide radial & about 40 in the fronts , generally the tire wil be wide on the sidewalls with less air
