Cars flooded today!
« on: April 12, 2009 - 12:32:31 PM »
Got a call from my brother in law at 6 am today.  4 of my cars are flooded from the red river rising.  Getting ready to go out and give him a hand. :(

Breezy point north of Winnipeg.  Going to go and give him a hand saving the house and shop.  The cars will be later in the week if the water recedes.

I'm sorry to here this BAD news. When Fargo was looking bad we got our Challengers out and took them to South Dakota to a relatives farm. They are safe now. We are looking at a second crest maybe higher that the first one last week.

Well, here's an update.  His house is OK, although the crawlspace filled up with water.  12 inches of water in the shop, 20 cars including 4 of mine in water up to the windshield.  Very depressing.  Wife was upset on account of her 63 valiant being turned into an acquarium.  My 68 Newyorker and boys 67 and 68 fury in the shame shape.  Got lucky and moved my cuda and other sons 68 sport fury in the fall so they are fine.  Not a good day, but at least the house and shop will be ok and everyone is ok.

Indeed life and home are most important, but that kind of news is too sad. Sorry to hear this, but that river will be sending you more water before long.  :sadwavey:

Glad you saved the house and shop!!!!!!!!!!     :canada:    You can repair the cars but it's still not good to see them underwater though.
