We have installed 3 set here at the dealer, I would prefer the goodmark over the AMD on these as they fell right on, the AMD seemed to be a little long which is an for the jamb and or tail panel. our issues were at the tail tail. AMD has a sharper body line than the Goodmark. But if you can block to a tape edge you'll be fine.

**REMEMBER** no 2 cars were built the same and these panels are reverse engineered and no two are alike. SO infitment is it really the panel in general or is it the car that was poorly with in reason assembled. When restoring everyone points to the panels not the car. because sometime these cars are over restored.

Dave, are you referring to CHally panels or Cuda panels or both?

Sorry I didn't mean to hijack your thread so far from your original post, but......

Just to let everyone know, AMD has contacted me (the owner of AMD actually) about the DS issue on my Challenger quarter panel. They do feel it is probably a stamping error on this panel only. I'm working with them and they have assured me they will take care of the issue with good customer service and whatever it takes. I personally have had great sucess with all my other AMD parts, and was only looking for a solution to my particular quarter issues. I think they will be having me send back the panel to check it against the specs to make sure. They seemed real committed to having a follow up so they know the facts and make sure its just a one time item that slipped through. They've been selling these for a couple of years now, so that's probably the case.

Thanks everyone and I'll update when everything good.
Wes

sorry should have stated CUDA. As for the challenger quarters i have compared Gdmrk to AMD and seem little variations to them. Sold a bunch of each, some of my customers have prefered one or the other. I am glad Mark has contacted you on this and willing to rectify.

I ordered some parts today from Mopar Dave.  I'm looking forward to getting more work done!

The Goodmark full rear quarter skin fit my car well overall, and was a perfect match to AMD trunk lid.
The AMD full rear quarter fit the front and roof seam, but is 1/8-3/16 inch short at the rear so does not line up with rear edge of AMD trunk lid I installed.
So youve got this new AMD quarter panel and have to weld a 'thick" plate to the end of it so it will fit the car.

Well, I said I would give an update and here it is.... (more updates to follow too!)

Well, as I stated before Dave stepped up and gave me great prices on all my sheet metal and glass.  A big  to Dave.

I open the packages up this morning and planned spending the day on trying to get a panel or two done.  Let me preface this by saying that although my car is very rust free (as you can see by the original quarter panel photo), any panel that wasn't perfect was replaced.  Most people would not have touch the panels I replaced, however I wanted to learn more about body work and the best way for me to learn is to get my hands in there and figure it out.

So back to this morning, open the packages and see the direct package from AMD had two small pieces missing, but after a quick call to Dave he had everything taken care of.  Made me happy I purchased from him.

Within a couple hours the trunk pan was in place and the trunk extensions were on.  The fit was going real good.  The quarters lined up real nice with the body lines, however the contour of the shape was a little off.  Nothing that wasn't fixable.... even for a guy doing it for the first time!  Finished the rest of the panels and reattached the deck lid by 5:00 pm.  Everything fit great and I found no major issues.  I will say although this is my first time replacing panels, I have done a ton of reading and studying prior.  I also had a friend that is good with this stuff helping.  His advice defiantly helped.

So my final thoughts are the AMD stuff is good.  So good practically a cave man can do it.  :woohoo:

So my final thoughts are the AMD stuff is good.
Cody, did the trailing edge of both rear qtrs line up with the trunk lid, and did the qtrs have big oversized holes to attach the trailing edge trim?

Did the trailing edge of both quarters line up with the trunk lid? =  yes, perfectly.  However the angle of the tailing lip wasn't perfect but it didn't take much to make it right... maybe all of 5 minutes to make perfect.

As for the large over sized hole, yes it was there in the same spot as yours.  But it's not a big deal to me as I just welded it closed and drilled the 3 smaller factory trim mounting holes from the inside of the trunk area.  I don't think the large hole was even in the right place for the trim so it might not been meant as a trim hole and instead maybe it was just a holding point while they dipped the part in primer?  It's just a guess, but it would make sense as they would need to hold the part from one end or the other when the prime it.

So instead of the AMD qtr being short, maybe the Goodmark qtr is long.  I lined up my AMD trunk lid with the Gdmk qtr, added to the AMD qtr to get everything even, but it left a "larger" gap between trunk lid and dutchman panel, suggetsting the Gdmk qtr may be too long.  So if you buy two qtrs from the same outfit, should obviously have consistent length.
I also noticed the tailing lip angle was not perfect, but would be easy to fix, though my bodyman did not bother and now I'm afraid of cracking the paint if I line up the angles.
