DodgeBoys, thanks for the heads up on the bell.  I will check into it.  Do you have a part number?

Leithal, Thanks for the compliment...  We just put the front end on it today (Grille, Front Valance, Bumper, etc...).  It is turning out good.

We are also installing the quarter window and door glass.  It is a real pain in the rear.   :pullinghair:  But it has to be done.
BTW, you never did send me any pics...  Oh yea, you should have your parts by this coming Thursday or Friday.   :ylsuper:

Thanks for the info on the bell housing.

Here are some pics of the challenger with hopefully the final installation.  The headlights are actually aftermarket ones and they fit really good.  The grille was restored by MCB.

I also just finished putting in the quarter windows.  The door windows are next and I am dreading it.

Thanks for the compliment.  The car is actually my dad's and I am helping him build it.  What better quality time can you ask for?  I will get around to finishing my cuda sometime down the road, but since the challenger is getting so close it only makes since the help finish it first.

I like your red cuda with the white billboards.  This has to be rare.

I agree too.  We plan to keep the hemi's factory fuel injection in place.

Any info on 5.7 hemi with 4-speed install would be appreciated.  I have heard that the Lakewood scattershield will work with the OEM truck flywheel.  Is this the case?

Thanks,

Daniel

I am doing the same at the moment with my 71 cuda.
I 'll be using the 4 spd bellhousing, 5.7L flywheel and pressure plate and 4 spd clutch disc.

I already have the msd set up, but I am going dual carb with edelbrock intake. the msd only runs timing and firing, not fuel supply as far as I understand right.

We are getting the challenger pretty close.  The headliner will be comlete soon.  We just got finished adding a suregrip in the B-Body 8 3/4" rear end.  Also installed the drive shaft, so now everything is hooked up as far as the drive train goes.  Now, we just have to install the engine cooling system.  Here are the latest pics.

Here are a few updates...

The challenger is running and the drive train is fully intact.  We have the front and back glass on the challenger and all moldings are on it.  We just have to get the seats installed and exhaust and we are off to the races.

Also, my 5.7 cuda project has slowly been progressing.  I didn't want to start a new thread, so I am showing my progress on this thread as well.  I finally finished installing the rear window louvers on my car.  I was very pleased with the quality of the louvers as well.  The car is getting closer to paint and I can't wait.  I think my arms are going to fall off first though. :faint:  Oh yea, the aftermarket fenders turned out really good (better than I thought they would).  The contour with the hood is excellent.

The cuda is finally painted and we are putting exhaust on the challenger.  Now, just have to let the paint cure.

Yea, it is a relief.  I have been working on the cuda for 8 years now.

I also have to let it set for awhile now prior to water sanding and buffing.  So, no stripes, vinyl top, louvers, rocker moldings, emblems, etc... for a few weeks.

Thanks for the compliment Mike.  Keep us posted on your car too.

I can't wait to be able to assemble the parts.
