Newbie from California
« on: April 14, 2009 - 03:47:35 PM »
Just a quick hello and introduction from California.  I've owned a 70 Cuda 340 for many years.  It is a four barrel car, automatic, bench set, column shifter, power brakes, power steering, AM/FM 8 track.  Bought it from the second owner with about 101K original miles, it was in good original condition, just needed some TLC.  The first thing I did to it was rebuilt the stock motor, .030 overbore, flat top pistons, rebuilt stock X heads, 268 Comp Cam, balanced lower end.  Then I repainted it Rally Red, original color was Mopar green.  It has been a garage queen, as I have been in to Harley motorcycles also.  Now that I am retired, I'm taking an interest in getting it back out on the street and driving it more.

LAA66,
I live in Santa Maria.  I was told the car was bought new in the Santa Barbara area.  Would be amazing if it was the same car.  But, you never know.

Thanks hooD.  I can take the pictures.  Will my computer skills allow me to post them up, that is another question!

How about bringing it down to Spring Fling. There's a few Mopar guys from Santa Maria that bring cars and swap. CC thread link: http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=51762.0

Actually the Spring Fling Coastal Caravan is going right by Santa Maria on Friday afternoon
