Just got word there is a permanant opening for an Field Service Rep doing about what I did over in Iraq.  Pay would be very good but not as much as I got over there.  I am going to consider it for sure if other jobs dont work out here.  It is not too far away from here anyways.

Then I got word from the very top of the company that it might be getting closer to us going back over as well.  I just hope that the job here works out then I would not be forced to go back or take the other stateside job.

What bases did you work on over in Iraq? I was in the Marine Corps and I've been on a few of them over there, maybe we were there at the same time.

I was there from March to October of 2003 and then from May to October of 2004.

I was at FOB Kalsu.  Even if I did go back I think I would be going some where else for the job.  dont really want to go back though.

Oh, I haven't been on that one, actually I haven't heard of it.

First time I was there was for the invasion so there wasn't any bases set up yet. Second time I stayed at Hurricane Point, next to Junction City which was an army base. I have also been to TQ (Tari Qaddum or something like that), and a couple others, but I can't remember the names of them. Mostly around Anbar Province though.

Looks like I will start working monday for the same company I used to work for. I will fly out monday and be back friday as it  sounds now.  They are still in the process with the teaching job and it might take a long time for them to complete the process.  Will work a couple of weeks anyway with the old company and see how I like it.  Could work into a good position.

Awaiting today to get my tickets to Wyoming for the first time.  Guess I will get to see some new parts of the country.
Then after that I go back to Lackland AFB will get to see how much it has changed in 30 years.
