My car is complete w/matching eng. trans, vin, door decal, rad support, cowl #'s  and a broadcast sheet.  I dont have the fender tag... so by your standards my car wouldnt be "numbers matching"?

I agree with Al, most of us are just normal people that just enjoy our cars,  No big deal either way,  so what other kinds of cars do you collect Heebee?

His car is obviously not a B-J concorse show quality $5 million car if its an R/T SE without a vinyl top. If your going to spend the big bucks for a numbers matching car then check all that you have to to prove to yourself that it is what it says it is. Its just a sticker and he actually drives the car so im sure he is not worried about the loss of a couple of  :2cents:

I bought my current Challenger because its exactly like the one I had in high school except the color....I can appreciate your points about originality and such but this is my car to enjoy, drive and take to car shows....I want it to look good and thus I want a new decal....I could care less what a potential buyer thinks.......it is what it is and I love it the way it is.....its draws attention because its a bright yellow 1970 Challenger and its a nice driver......which I do...rain or shine I drive it......

I take no offense but I an picky about little things like a faded decal.

its simple math 8 - 1 = 7 nope ,if you can manipulate math go for it .but this doesnt
mean the cars any less cool or worthy to have .it is what it is.

My door decal came from ECS. It was with the car when I bought it. The previous owner was gonna restore the car but had too many irons in the fire. I would rather have a new decal than a huge paint edge around the old one. I can see both sides of the coin though. I plan on showing the car but it will never be an all out show car. My car was an original auto that's been converted to a manual. I plan on having alot of fun with this car.

In all honesty.....WHO CARES :dunno:  We all don't have concourse Barrett Jackson Money MAKERS.   If you are in the top 1% of people looking for every single matching thing, then you can pay the major bucks. For the most part, an authentic Chrysler approved repop of a door tag is ok for most all of us here. Take no offense, we get your point.   :2thumbs:
:iagree:

ongoing arguments in either direction. bottom line, your wheels, do what you wish. you only live once, unless your multiple personalities!

This thought may not be politically correct, but is an opinion offered. It may be correct? or it may be wrong? It is not designed to appease those needing shelter from the real world.

can you prove its not . every single part on a car thats driven on a public highway has a # and date thats not allowed to be altered .try removing a fender or hood decal from a car and see what dmv would do to you .changing emisions decals is a real problem also .research before babble goes a long way.

Uh Oh, someone painted over my emissions sticker, I guess that mean my Challenger will have to be crushed since its against your law.
